
Blessing Chibaya is a Director- Technical Services and Quality Assurance at Quality and Metrology Excellence (QME) with 15 years of research experience and active participation in Equipment Calibration, National Quality Infrastructure activities, Quality Management Systems and Metrology. Mr Chibaya is an ISO/IEC 17025 Technical Assessor and member of the Advisory Committee for Southern Africa Accreditation Services (SADCAS). He has in-depth experience and Knowledge in the Global Quality Infrastructure and a key resource person in the Zimbabwe’s National Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Sub-Committee relating to conformity assessment. An ASLM Technical Working Group Member on establishing calibration and equipment maintenance curriculum. Have deep understanding in Metrology, Uncertainty of Measurement, validation, Quality Assurance, ISO IEC 17025, Internal Auditing, Results based management thinking tools and Lean Six Sigma.
He is a Former Deputy Director at the Scientific and Industrial Research and Development Centre’s National Metrology Institute (SIRDC-NMI) with 15 years’ Research experience with achievements including accreditation of the facility to it’s inaugural ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation, Registration of Calibration and Measurement Capabilities to the International Bureau of Weights and Measures Key Comparison Data Base (BIPM-KCDB)
