SADCAS Accreditation Administrators had the privilege of enrolling in a 3-day AI workshop in Pretoria, South Africa. In attendance included Tsitsi Mazibuko, Nicole Sekgoma, Pearl Semetsamere and Kaone Phindela. The workshop was held from 16 – 18 December 2025 and was provided by Southern African Development Institute. Southern Africa Development Institute is an accredited business information training institution that has been established since 2011.
The purpose of attending this masterclass was for accreditation administrators to get practical knowledge, actionable strategies, and hands-on experience in applying AI and digital tools to everyday administrative work.
In today’s fast paced and digitally connected workplace, administrators play a critical role in keeping the organisation running smoothly, yet the workload and the demands on their time continues to grow exponentially. From managing tight schedules, meeting deadlines to handling vast amounts of workload to administrative support. The modern administrator often finds themselves juggling multiple tasks and priorities with limited tools, leading to inefficiencies, stress, workload and missed opportunities for impact. The AI driven administrator workshop is aimed at addressing this challenge faced by administrators head on.
Over the three days, the following five modules were covered:
Module 1 – The Modern Administrative Landscape & AI Opportunities
Module 2 – Streamline and Automating Administrative Tasks
Module 3 – Data-Driven Decision Making and Insights
Module 4 – Enhancing Productivity, Creativity, and Innovation
Module 5 – Ethical, Secure and Responsible AI Use
Accreditation administrators completed the masterclass empowered with the skills to:
- Automate repetitive tasks and optimize workflows
- Use AI tools for data driven insights and decision making
- Innovate and apply AI ethically and responsibly
- More than anything, position themselves as digitally empowered contributors within SADCAS.
At the end of the workshop, participants were awarded with a certification of completion, as recognition of accomplishments, skills and knowledge gained from the workshop.
This workshop aligned well with SADCAS’s commitment to adopting modern tools in accreditation services. From an administrative perspective, the skills gained are already helping to improve task coordination, document management, and overall workflow efficiency.
