Tea Research Institute of Tanzania (TRIT) celebrated a huge milestone of being granted an accreditation certificate by the SADC Accreditatin Service on its Tseting Laboratory. The ceremony was held in Dodoma, Tanzania and officiated by the Permanent Secretary- Ministry of Agriculture, Honourable Gerald G. Mweli, senior government officials, TRIT board and management including the Executive Director- Dr. Frankie E. Nkone.

Scheme Coordinator- Testing/ Veterinary/Proficiency Testing, Ms. Varsha Gungoa represented the SADCAS CEO, Ms. Eve Christine Gadzikwa during the ceremony where she handed the accreditation certificate and celebrated the achievement with TRIT:

โ€œThe accreditation landscape in Tanzania is vibrant and growing rapidly. I would like to commend the Government of Tanzania for its dedication and commitment to strengthening the quality infrastructure through its various initiatives.

As of 31 March 2025, there are 108 accredited facilities in Tanzania, this is a testimony that the Government of Tanzania has embraced the benefits of accreditation.
