This course is designed to promote a thorough understanding of ISO/IEC 17020 standard requirements and to impart internal auditing knowledge and skills to inspection bodies' staff so as to monitor compliance with ISO/IEC 17020. The course will cover the following main topics:
- An understanding of the need for accreditation in relation to regulatory requirements;
- An understanding of ISO/IEC 17020 standard requirements;
- An understanding of the international guidance document ILAC A4;
- Developing a suitable Quality Manual;
- Maintenance and Improvement of inspection quality management system; and
- Internal auditing tools, techniques, and process;

Management and staff of inspection bodies involved in the implementation and maintenance of the management system as well as those involved in monitoring system compliance through internal audits.
