Eve Christine Gadzikwa

Chief Executive Officer

Ms Gadzikwa was appointed SADCAS CEO effective 01 August 2022. Her professional career spans over 28 years in the public and private sectors. Prior to joining SADCAS, she spent a 13-year tenure at the helm of Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ) as Director General.

Ms Gadzikwa has extensive hands-on experience in various Management Systems including Quality Management Systems ISO 9001, Environmental Management System ISO 14001, Occupational Health & Safety ISO 45001, Food Safety ISO 22000, Risk Management ISO 31000, HACCP, Proficiency Testing & Inter-Laboratory Comparison Requirements ISO/IEC 17025 and Guide 43-1 1997 (Revised 17043:2010). Gadzikwa’s employment history has endowed her with considerable knowledge of and experience with Proficiency Testing and Accreditation processes for Testing Laboratories, Calibration Laboratories, Inspection Bodies and Certification Bodies.

Ms Gadzikwa’s qualifications include a Masters of Business Administration from Nottingham Trent University (UK), a Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Institute of Marketing Management –IMM (SA) and a Specialist Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology- Microbiology from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ).

Ms Gadzikwa is currently an Executive Member of SADCAS Board of Directors. She is 13th Past President of AU standards body the African Organisation for Standardisation (ARSO) a position she held from 2016-2019. Ms Gadzikwa served as ISO Council Member and ISO Gender Action for Africa and the Arab Member States from 2020-2022.
