We are pleased to advise that ISO 15189:2022 Medical Laboratories – Requirements for quality and competence has now been published. The revised standard was published on the 6th of December 2022. Key updates to the standard include a greater focus on clinical risk and the impact of services on patients. The standard has undergone structural reorganisation to bring it in line with ISO 17000-series standards (the “parent” standards of ISO 15189).
