This issue unpacks a lot of exciting news from the successful World Accreditation Day activities around the region and SADCAS hosting the first ever ISO 17021 Training in Portuguese.
June 9th, marked World Accreditation Day, a global initiative jointly established by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) to raise awareness of the importance of accreditation related activities.
This year’s theme, Accreditation: Supporting the Future for Global Trade highlighted how accreditation and accredited conformity assessment activities support the ongoing global supply chain restricting that continues to be a source of trade normalization as organisations seek new markets and investment opportunities.
WAD Celebrations were exciting in the region, SADCAS CEO, Ms. Eve Christine Gadzikwa participated in a panel discussion hosted by the Botswana Ministry of Trade and Industry and the event got generous media coverage. Additionally, there was circulation and publication of press releases in various media platforms such as social media, television interviews, virtual and physical workshops/seminars.
